The historical 24-letter cipher uses the classical Latin alphabet where I and J share a code (01000) and U and V share a code (10011). The 26-letter version assigns a unique code to each letter.
Each letter of the hidden secret is converted to 5 binary bits. Lowercase letters in the cover text represent '0' ('A'), while uppercase letters represent '1' ('B').
